"It is not our purpose to become each other; it is to recognize each other, it is to learn and see the other and honor [them] for what [they are]." - Herman Hesse

I have always been absorbed by the chaotic and graceful interconnection of life and all things.  I was hungry for understanding, and began by studying the environment, the soil, and agriculture.  I worked on Abbondanza biodynamic farm and in the Schimel Soil Microbiology lab where I lived by the principles of nature and exercised the type of thought necessary for working with complex systems.  I practiced listening to the humming of my environment as if it were music.

Cultivating my meditation practice along the way, I graduated UCSB with a B.S. in Biological sciences, emphasizing Human Biology and Physiology in my studies.

I went on to study Kundalini Yoga with the Kundalini Research Institute in New Mexico.  I grounded myself in the farm and kitchen work I did to pay for part of my tuition, and began to consciously use food as a prayer for health and unity.

Following my yoga teacher training, I got certified and attuned in Reiki I and II.  I returned home to the Bay Area to spend a year teaching, working and volunteering in health and harm reduction.   Following my want for a deeper understanding of the human experience, I left once more for the Healing Arts school that would bring it all together, certify me in massage therapy, and grateful influence my healing practice.

At Crestone Healing Arts Center, began each day practicing qi gong at the sun rose and drawing energy from nature as we tuned ourselves to be a channel for each person's innate healing potential.  We practiced both martial and healing arts as a way to channel energy for greater healing and received impeccable teaching on various forms of bodywork, Traditional Chinese Medicine Philosophy, physical and energetic Anatomy, and other healing arts.  We practiced bodywork as a meditation on nature, to meet each client where they were, and use the modalities we learned offerings for each person to realize their own healing.

I returned to California to study Thai Massage and Myofascial Release.  Though very different in practice, both modalities have given me more insight into the rhythms and functional connectivity of the body.

My Body Therapy practice is a fluid integration of healing arts, biological sciences, and intuition, made to address the many facets of the body.

My personal style of Body Therapy is currently most informed by Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu and Thai Massage.

Our bodies have an amazing propensity to heal themselves.  Each session is a chance to listen and to offer a way for you to connect with your health.
